Prologue:This is the true story of seven, sort of, strangers picked to live in a house and have their lives taped to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real. The Real World: Chicago!
Kat awoke with a start as her alarm went off. She turned over and stared at the clock face. 7:00am stared back at her. "Thank God my first class is at 10," she said sleeply as she went into the bathroom and switched on the shower.
Kat had just finished getting ready when Jason walked into her room.
"I heard your alarm go off. How loud is that thing?" asked Jason sleepily.
"Sorry 'bout that," said Kat in her traditional Austrailian accent.
"It's no problem. I was actually hoping I could talk to you alone. Look, I know how hard it can be seeing someone you love with someone else. I never told anyone this but I had a huge crush on Kim and I was really upset when Tommy and her started dating, but I realized how happy she was and I didn't feel so bad anymore. I was glad she was happy. I think that you should be happy for Tommy too," said Jason as Kat walked around her room getting ready.
"What do you mean? Kim and Tommy aren't going out again, are they?" asked Kat slowly.
"Not from what I can tell, but you've seen them together. It's inevitable. They were destined to be together. I know you know that in your mind, but I don't think your heart has caught on," said Jase hoping that he hadn't hurt her too much.
"You're wrong, Jason. Kim dumped Tommy. She doesn't love him any more. The only reason Tommy and I broke up was because I was going away to school. I love him and he loves me. I can't believe you're saying these things to me," said Kat, obviously hurt.
"Kat, Kim dumped Tommy because she didn't want him to be tied to someone 3,000 miles away. She dumped him so he could be happy, not because she didn't like him. She loves him, I know that better than anyone, and I think that you know it too," said Jason quietly.
"Get out," said Kat softly as Jason opened his mouth to speak. "Don't say anything! Just get out."
"Fine. I was just trying to warn you," said Jase as he walked out. Kat fell to her bed and cried knowing that Jason was right.

"Good Morning, everyone!" said Kim walking down the stairs and
into the kitchen where Trini, Adam, and Rocky were making breakfast.
"Morning, Kim," said Rocky giving her a plate of eggs, hash browns, toast and a glass of apple juice.
"Thanks, Rocky. Where are Kat, Jase and Tommy?" she asked taking a bite of her toast.
"Kat has school, Jason is out taking a jog — he's upset about something— and Tommy is still sleeping," said Trini motioning with the spatula in her hand.
"Tommy had best get down here before Rocky eats his food too!" said Adam looking at Rocky as Trini and Kim giggled.
"Woat?" asked Rocky with a mouth full of food as Trini and Adam shook their heads at him.
"I'm going to go get Tommy up. Make sure that the Vacuum doesn't finish off my plate!" said Kim pointing to Rocky and running up the stairs.
"See, I told you she still likes him!" said Trini turning to Adam and Rocky, once again brandishing the spatula.
"Trini, if you don't mind, please don't keep whipping that thing around. One of these times you're going to hit me!" said Rocky.
"You mean like this?" asked Trini as she went to hit him with the kitchen utensil and he ducked.
"I think that's what he was trying to get at," said Adam taking the instrument out of her hand.

Kim walked into Tommy and Jason's room and found Tommy lying in his bed. _Gosh he looks so cute when he's sleeping!_ thought Kim _Why did I dump him? Well, at least we started over. I just wish I could tell him how much I love him!_
Suddenly Tommy shifted in his bed and Kim dropped back into the shadows of the room. Tommy sat up and looked at the stuffed animal next to him.
"Thank God I'm rooming with Jase. He's the only person who knows that I have you," he said aloud, talking to the stuffed animal.
Kim strained to see what it was. She half expected it to be a white cat, but instead it was a pink flamingo.
"I know you're not the Crane or Pterodactyl I was looking for, but you'll do. I'll always love you and you'll always love me even if the real Kim just wants to be friends," Tommy said, setting the animal onto his pillow and walking into the bathroom.
Kim quickly went to the door and knocked.
"Tommy, you in there?" asked Kim, knowing that he was.
"Yep!" came the muffled reply as the shower started. "What
did you need?"
"Um...I just wanted to...um... let you know that...um...breakfast
is ready," she said fidgeting nervously outside of the door.
"Thanks, Kim. I'll be there in a minute." With that Kim walked back downstairs trying to figure out how to show him that she loved him too.

"Hey guys! We should go here," said Rocky, reading the newspaper.
"And where is that?" asked Trini, wiping up the counters in the kitchen.
"It's a dance club called 'South of the Border'. It says here that they do a lot of Latin stuff, like salsa and lambada," said Rocky, walking into the kitchen and hopping up on the counter.
"Get off there. No one wants their food made where your butt was!" scolded Trini "When does it open?"
"It opens at 8pm and goes to 2am," said Rocky hopping off the counter.
"I don't know guys. I don't know how to dance, especially the salsa or lambada. I'll sit this one out, but thanks anyway," said Adam sitting on a stool near the kitchen.
"Come on, Adam. I can teach you!" said Rocky.
"No offense, Rocky, but I think Adam needs a girl to teach him, and I know those dances. What do you say, Adam? If I teach you, will you go?" asked Trini sweetly.
It was hard for Adam to resist Trini's beautiful smile and he relented. "OK, but only if you teach me," said Adam as Trini and Rocky slapped hands.
"OK, but you have to promise to dance...a lot!" said Trini with her trademark smile.
"And you guys gotta promise you won't ditch me," said Rocky.
"Even if we find you a really hot babe?" asked Trini.
"Even if you find me — wait. Hell, if you find me a hot babe, I'll ditch you!" said Rocky as Adam and Trini laughed.
"Hey guys. Tommy is taking a shower and he'll be down in a minute. He said to keep his food warm," said Kim, walking into the kitchen.
"Cool. I'll just have him throw his food into the micro when he gets down here," said Trini moving his plate near the microwave.

"Mm! What smells so good?" asked Jason, walking into the massive
apartment.
"That was the breakfast that you missed when you went jogging earlier," said Trini "What happened? You never jog!"
"I'll tell you later. I really don't feel like talking about it," said Jason walking into the kitchen and getting a bottle of water from the expansive refrigerator.
"Hey guys," said Tommy walking into the kitchen.
"Hey, your food is next to the micro. Just pop it in for 30 seconds and it should be fine," said Trini, walking out as Kim walked in to put her plate in the sink.
"If anyone needs me, I'm going to go relax in my room. Hey Kim. Bye Kim," said Jason walking out of the kitchen as Kim walked in to put her plate in the sink.
"Hey Kim. How did you sleep?" asked Tommy plopping down on a stool in the kitchen.
"You really want to know?" she asked.
"Of course," he replied.
"It was really good. I had this wonderful dream," said Kim as she pulled another stool over to Tommy and sat down.
"What was it about?" asked Tommy.
"Well I was trapped in this tower and I kept trying to get out but this evil woman that looked like Kat except ugly was holding me there. She told me that she was going to put a spell on me to make me ugly so that the prince that loved me wouldn't want me. She also told me that she was going to steal my beauty so that the prince would love her instead of me!" said Kim huffily.
"So what happened between this prince guy and the ugly Kat?" asked Tommy, taking a sip of milk.
"Well at first he thought that she was me and he loved her but then he started to see her for who she really was. The prince told her that she wasn't his Kim and that the ugly Kat was just an imposter," said Kim as Tommy cut her short.
"What is the name of this prince guy? Who does he look like?" questioned Tommy sincerely.
Kim flushed bright red and turned her head away from him.
"What? What is it?" said Tommy putting a hand on Kim's shoulder.
"Well he...he looked...like...well he looked like you," said Kimberly softly.
Tommy put down his fork and plate and looked at Kim. "He looked like me?" asked Tommy quietly.
"Yeah, complete with a white horse and everything!" said Kim.
"Kim, you don't have to be ashamed of that. I think that it's cute that you dreamed of me. You want to know a secret?" asked Tommy as Kim nodded her head. "I had a dream about you last night, too."
"Really? What was it about?" questioned Kim.
"Oh no, you finish telling me your dream," said Tommy as he resumed eating.

"OK, Adam. It goes: one, two, one, two, turn and dip." said Trini demostrating the dance with Rocky. "Do you think you can do that?"
"I can try, but I don't know," he said shyly as Trini lead him to the middle of the mock dance floor in the living room.
"Just concentrate," stated Trini as she placed Adam's arm around her waist and joined hands.
_Concentrate? I'm standing inches away from a girl that I've liked since forever and I'm supposed to concentrate? Yeah right, Trini!_ Adam thought to himself.
The two started to dance and Adam promptly stepped on Trini's foot.
"OK. Tradtional isn't going to work. Just close your eyes and listen to the sound of my voice," said Trini as they started to dance.
"One, two, one, two, turn and dip," whispered Trini into Adam's ear. "One, two, one, two, turn and dip."
The two continued to dance and Rocky smiled softly to himself and shook his head.
"See I told you you could dance!" said Trini stepping back as Adam opened his eyes to see Trini beaming at him.
"You mean we were dancing?" said Adam.
"Yeah, and pretty well if I do say so myself!" said Rocky walking over to the two. "Ok, Trini, let's show him the salsa."

"Well, since you knew that the ugly Kat wasn't me, she changed back
and told you that you would never see me again, and she dissapeared. She
came back to where I was at and cast the ugly spell on me and then you
showed up at the tower and I didn't want you to see me since I was ugly.
I told you that she put this awful spell on me and that I couldn't face
you looking like I did, and you told me that it didn't matter what I looked
like, you would always love and care for me. Then the ugly Kat showed up,
but she was this big huge dragon, and she tried to kill you because you
loved me even though I was ugly. You told her that it wasn't what was on
the outside, but that you loved me because I was beautiful on the inside,
and you killed her. The spell was broken and we lived happily ever after,"
said Kim finishing her story, not realizing that Tommy was holding her
hand.

"This one is a little harder but I think you can do it. Just think of it as a really complicated kata. Now follow my moves and remember kata," said Trini as she started to dance.
She took him through the steps slowly and he followed her with the same fluid motions. He mirrored her but she moved closer to him and took his arms and wrapped them around her waist, all the while, never missing a beat.
Adam gulped and Trini turned to look at him, their eyes locking into a stare. They both continued to dance and Rocky slowly slipped out of the room and into the kitchen.
"Hey guys." said Rocky interrupting Kim and Tommy "I hate to interrupt, but I was kind of ditched in the living room. Look."
Kim and Tommy moved to the doorway and spied into the living room. They saw Trini and Adam staring at each other and dancing in a really sensual way. Soon they both slowed down and stoped, faces mere inches from one another.
Jason suddenly ran down the stairs and into the living room and brought Adam and Trini out of there trance.
"Was I interrupting?" he asked softly.
"Um...no, I was just teaching Adam to dance," said Trini, nervously slipping out of Adam's hold.
"So that's what they're calling it now," said Jason slipping off into the confessional.
"I think that you're ready for the club," said Rocky giving his friend a pat on the back.
"Um..thanks," said Adam as he watched Trini run off to her room.

"Hi. I don't exactly know what to do but here goes. I'm Jason Lee Scott and this is my first time in the confessional. I was upstairs and I was just sitting around and thinking. I was thinking about how bad I feel for Kat. I mean it's got to be really tough for her to be here with Tommy and Kim.
You see Kim is a gymnist and she dated Tommy, but they broke up when she went to compete in the Pan-Global Games. After about a year, Tommy and Kat got together but they broke up when she went to college. I know that Tommy still loves Kim and I tried to tell Kat that but she wouldn't listen. I mean, I used to have this huge crush on Kim but I got over that awhile ago. Once I realized that Tommy made Kim happy, I got over it. I really hate to see Kat doing this to herself. Maybe we should go out to dinner or something. Just so that she gets out and has a good time. I think that's what I'll do.
Let's see, it's 3 o'clock. Kat's last class is at 2 so she should be home by 3:30. I'll make reservations at some restaurant and take her out. Thanks for helping, I think. Later!" said Jase as he went to make the arrangements.

"Hey Tommy. What are you up to?" asked Kat walking in to the house.
"Not much. Just looking up something in the yellow pages," said Tommy putting down the massive yellow book.
"What are you looking for?" she asked happily.
"A costume shop," he said sweetly.
"For what?" she pushed.
"You'll see," he said slyly as he got up, put on his coat and walked out of the house.
_I wonder what he's up too?_ she thought wondering what surprises he had for her.
"Oh, hi Jason," said Kat walking by the phone room as Jase was walking out.
"Hey Kat, what's going on with you tonight?" he asked softly.
"I think Tommy is planning a surprise for me, but other than that nothing," she said sweetly.
"Well, I was supposed to go to dinner with a friend of mine, but she cancelled. I was wondering if you would join me. The reservations are at the Olive Garden," he aked shyly.
"Um, Well like I said Tommy is planning a surprise for me. I don't know," she replied.
"Are you sure? I would of asked Trini but she's busy," he said.
"What about Kim?" asked Kat.
"Well, from what Kim said, her and um...Tommy are going out later," said Jason slowly.
"Oh, well then I guess that surprise wasn't for me. If you don't mind I really don't feel like going out any more," she stated softly.
"Kat, wait. You can't hide out forever. Move on. Let me help you," he said taking her hand.
"No. Look I really appreciate the offer but I just can't." She ran upstairs to her room.

"Come on Trini, let's get a move on!" yelled Rocky up the stairs.
"I'm coming," she said walking down the staircase.
Adam's mouth dropped open and Rocky's eyes got as big as saucers. Trini had on a cute little black skirt with a white dress shirt that was open to reveal a yellow tank top. Her hair was curled and it bounced around as she walked.
"Wow, Trini you look-"
"Absolutley amazing," started Rocky as Adam finished for him.
"Thanks. You guys look great too! My men in black," said Trini moving next to them.
Rocky was wearing black dress pants with a blue silk shirt and black sport coat. Adam was also wearing black dress pants with a white no collar dress shirt and a black sport coat.
"Ok let's go," said Rocky but before they could go, Tommy ran in the house dressed in a Prince Charming costume.
"Princess Kimberly! Princess Kimberly!" yelled Tommy
"What's going on?" whispered Trini to Rocky and Adam, but both shrugged their shoulders.
Kim walked down the stairs from the third floor and stood on the second floor balcony that overlooked the first floor. Kat and Jason stood at the top of the third floor stairs watching the scene playing before them.
"Tommy, what in the hell are you doing?" she shouted.
"I've come to save my Princess Kimberly from the evil wicked witch!" he said running up the stairs and meeting her at the top "Come with me."
"Do I have choice?" said Kim.
"Actually, if you don't want to go I could always take someone else," he said softly.
"No!!!! I want to go," said Kim.
"OK then, let's go!" and Tommy grabbed Kim's hand and ran out the door.
Trini, Adam, Rocky, Kat, and Jason quickly ran to the picture window at the front of the house. Outside of the building was a horse-drawn carriage and Kim and Tommy were getting into it.
"That is so adorable!" said Trini.
"Yeah, they look so happy," stated Rocky.
Kat got tears in her eyes and ran away from the group of people back to her room.
"Kat, wait!" said Jason running after as the three watched him run away.
"Let's go. We're going to be late," said Adam opening the door
as Trini and Rocky walked out.
