Hitting The High Seas
(Program 44; Filmed 10/67; Broadcast 11/27/67)
Out of work again, The Monkees take jobs as sailors on a shady ship. Thoughts
of mutiny are bountiful when the captain's sinister plot to rob a rival
sea liner is revealed. Songs include "Daydream Believer" and
"Star Collector." Michael Nesmith appears only briefly in this
episode's opening scenes and the pre-filmed "Star Collector"
psychedelic song romp because he contracted a real-live case of sea sickness
on the first day of filming!
