This episode marks a break from The Monkees series' standard format. Instead of a boy-meets-girl music romp, the group stages a spoof of a classic story in which Michael Nesmith portrays the improbable princess and Peter Tork the hapless pauper. Also, Nesmith's "Daily Nightly" is performed in a black & white music video styled clip.
