The Chaperone
(Program 9; Filmed 7/66; Broadcast 11/7/66)
When Davy sets his sights on Leslie, the daughter of an uptight ex-military
man, The Monkees find that in order for Jones' date to attend a party
at their pad, they must first find a suitable chaperone to supervise.
Songs include Boyce & Hart's "This Just Doesn't Seem To Be My
Day," a unique alternate vocal mix of "Take A Giant Step,"
and an early take of Michael Nesmith's "You Just May Be The One."
