"Yee haw!" shouted a Bandit as it ran around and tore up the fort looking for something.
"Grrr....um now... uh... I'LL SHOOT!" said Billy weakly.
"Hahahahahaha..." they all said when he attempted this and kept up to what they were doing.
"Billy? What's he doing there?" Tommy said and then emerged from his hiding spot.
All of the Bandits looked up at him and stopped what they were doing. They froze and waited for Tommy to make his next move. Tommy, not quite knowing what to do just stepped forward and they all stepped back. He took another step and they took a step too. Finally sick of all of that was going on Tommy just ran forward and raised his arms in the air making an odd face.
"Sig Hai! Get outa here!" he shouted as he ran forward and predictably scared all of the Bandits away. Then looking over at Billy he walked over quickly and helped him up. Much to his horror Billy was covered in mud and dirt. He took a closer look and saw that Billy was wearing some old war clothes from the 1800s. His rifle and those odd metal glasses that made weird shadows on his face caused him to look almost comical. His hair was dark brown and he wasn't as muscled as he was since the other day Tommy had seen him.
"Billy what is going on here?" he asked helping him up as the boy tested his legs.
"I'm not Billy, my name is William Crow. I've been stuck here ever since General Saban plotted me down here to keep the Bandits away. Still they aren't scared of me, one even managed to steal my Purple Heart. It was the only thing that kept them at bay. They thought the purple heart meant something else." he said grieviously.
"That's too bad, I would help you out but I really have no idea how to help you." he said looking at the dirt road which sprawled ahead.
"Wait wait....um...geez it's hard to think.... Um..." he said trailing.
"Heh heh," Tommy laughed under his breath, he sure wasn't used to seeing Billy like this.
"Okay, I remember now. They hid it out in the field. It's at their base. Will you help me to get it?" William asked.
"Sure! I'm gonna be here a while anyway." he said shrugging.
Happily William led him off in the general direction of where he remembered that they took his Purple Heart. Tommy wondered to himself, how could he know where they took his Purple Heart, and if they had actually taken it? Other questions arose along the way, but thinking about them made Tommy's head hurt. Thinking was not his forte. Maybe he would strengthen it if he worked hard in this odd world.
In not to long an amount of time the two of them had made it to a small sanddunne that was well concealed among the wildgrowth. They both circled it looking for an entrance and kept an eye out for any Bandits that may have been guarding the base. Finally coming upon the way in they both realized the way was clear and prepared to go right in.
"Well you do know this must be a trap."
"Hehehe, maybe they are just sleeping?" William said anxiously while Tommy groaned.
As the two made their way down into the mound a figure watched them off in the distance. It was the man in guise of a boy that had sent Tommy to where he was. Lifting his hand he slowly vanished and left no trace of his passing in his leaving. The first part of the first test was under way.
"Um, so what is your name?" asked William rather loudly and not watching where he was going.
"My name is Tommy. Uh you should watch your step!" he said this too late and watched the awkward form of William tumble down the last few stairs. Smacking his hand to his forhead, Tommy ran forward and jumped up landing by the odd soldier's side. He looked at William and saw that some of his medals had come off. Glancing around for the medals, Tommy took in the whole room he was in at the moment. They were in a sort of dome shaped room with all of these pitfalls all around. They were constantly opening and closing, causing him to wonder what other types of traps were in the room.
Looking up he noticed that there were also some spikes that jutted from the cieling that looked pretty wicked. Right to his side on a pit that hadn't opened for a while lay the medal that had come out of William's coat. He would need that if he were to be able to get recognition again. Right by the door there was also a panel of wooden switches. Stoping to think before acting for once, Tommy wondered if it was worth it to go and try to dive for the medal. Deciding against it he left William's side and went straight for the panel. What he saw there was not what he expected to see.
On the panel there was a riddle that needed to be solved. It was so unexpected that he didn't even notice William's cry for help when the pitfall under him began to open. Tommy, always alert looked over his shoulder and saw that he was in trouble. Oh great, he thought to himself and tried to focus on the riddle. It was an odd one and he decied to say it to himself aloud to make it more clear.
" 'What never has the patience for man, is always running cirlces around you and can never be regained if lost?' " he said to himself noticing the hole by the panel. It was then that the panels began to speed up and Tommy began to loose it. Shaking and starting to worry that things would turn out bad he threw his hands up into the air and shouted. "Argh! I'm running out of Time!"
Then as if on cue all of the pitfalls stopped opening and closing and a small arangements of tones similar to a video game he used to play sounded. Looking back behind him he saw that William was balancing precariously and that the medal was still there too. Tommy turned back and just looked at the control panel. There was a part of it that had been switched on and was now off. Curiously putting his hand over it, it moved once then went on. Behind him on one of the walls a door appeared.
"Okay I think it's time to get out of here." Tommy said and walked over to the medal picking it up swiftly. "Here this is what you are missing right?" he said with a wink. Tommy handed him his medal and helped to put it back on William's coat.
"My thanks.... um what was your name again?" he asked confusedly.
"Argh... man get a brain... er um I mean... heh heh. Sorry..." Tommy said realizing his mistake.
Walking over to the door carefully the two stepped through it and made their way into another room that had no exits as well. Looking behind them, the two saw that the door they had entered had vanished too. Tommy looked at the center of the room and saw that there on a pedestal sat a Purple Heart. William gasped when he caught sight of this and tried to run to it. He tripped and fell forward activating the hair wires that were set up all around the Purple Heart.
"Aw man.... why'd you have to go and do that?" Tommy said aggrevated.
It was then that the worst thing possible happened. The pedestal that had the Purple Heart on it began to sink into the floor rapidly until it was completely gone. To make things worse a giant creature fell out of the newly opened skylight in the ceiling. It dropped down to the floor with a heavy boom and opened its eyes. The giant sphinx looked at Tommy with glowing eyes and summed him up. She wore a sort of pharoah dress and had the typical crown on her head with a jewel in it.
"I'm going to make sure that you do not handle that Heroic Artifact!" she said mixing techno babble with regular speech.
"We'll see about that!" Tommy said sending William to a safe spot and running at the beast.
Spinning around and doing an awesome backkick Tommy felt himself grow weak and just fall to the floor. All around him the room had gone a wierd color of green and it waved around as if the air itself was moving. His head felt dizzy and when he looked up he saw the sphinx getting bigger.
"Heh heh, your unwanted aggression is totally irrelevent here. The more you move the more you suffer."
Tommy stopped to think about what he was doing as he gained his ability to move back. The more I move the more I suffer, he thought to himself. What could she mean by that? Standing up and backing away Tommy began to move in again, this time not moving as many body parts as before. Once again he suffered the same thing and lost more of his energy, this time he couldn't even stand up again.
"Oh...I get it. My aggresion towards her is fueling her in some way. The more I move against her the more I get zapped. So what if I just sat here?" he said in a whisper.
Sliding back and forcing himself onto his feet Tommy just stood there looking at the sphinx. She glared at him and made mean gestures towards him trying to entice some sort of action. Tommy just stood there and ignored her fully. She jumped up and down and began to glow bright red. Then suddenly the jewel on her odd hat exploded and Tommy felt as good as new. Taking a step forward and looking at her menacingly he made a sound like a ghost.
"Kiyaaaaaaaaaaa" she screamed and flew out of the skylight as the pedestal under her began to rise again with William's Purple Heart on it.
"Alright!" William said rushing forward and taking his Purple Heart up into his hands. He looked over his shoulders with a clearer look in his eyes than he had before and asked Tommy for some help. Tommy, not really wanting to touch the medal went over anyway.
"Alright, there, it's in!" he said closing up part of William's shirt and stepping back. "There am I all done? Is there anything else you needed help with?" he asked.
"No, your assistance is greatly appreciated, let me bequeath you with this parting gift for your labor." he said reaching forward and touching Tommy's forhead. "I bestow upon you powers of the mind... now go forth and help a few more denzins of this land." he said with a wave of his finger and somehow managed to teleport Tommy back to the outside right on the old dirt road. Before he was completely gone Tommy looked back at William and saw that he was slightly filled out. He had become more solid and had a sort of bowled hat on his head. Tommy waved and went with the pull of the teleport.
"Whoa..." Tommy said feeling a little odd.
He made his way along the old dirt road and felt that there should have been some reason to his being there. It was obvious that he was there to pass some test of a sort, but now it seemed that there would be some reasonable way for him to gain his ancient powers. Perhaps by helping out other people he would find the answer to his question. Pondering with his newfound enhanced sensibility Tommy barely noticed the Girl in yellow up in the tree smiling down at him.
She was small, about the size of a child, and had a rather large smile that unnereved him secretly. Her mouth was full of perfectly straight teeth and she appeared to have her eyes closed. She had the features of a human and she wore a lovely sunday type outfit that made her look as if she were on her way to church. A church that existed in the 1800s but a church none the less. She wore a pretty necklace and was rubbing her hands. Trying to walk away from her without alerting the girl, Tommy crept by slowly and efficiently. Before he could get very far though a very soothing voice poped into his ears.
"I'm Trin, Trin DeGato... I need your help. Would you do that for me?" she asked in her singsong voice that carried evenly and melodiously.
"Um, no." he replied quickly. The more he looked at her the more she looked like Trini. Tommy didn't like that and wanted to be on his way soon. She just stretched and yawned just like a cat and disappeared leaving no trace of her ever having been in the tree. Tommy flinched as she came flying at him and appeared right next to him in the mid air then landed in front of him. Her hair blew then exposing her features and made him shudder at this representation of Trini.
"You really should help me. Have some compassion..." she crooned to him softly before he ran off.
"Fine fine! What do you want?" he said throwing his hands up into the air.
"One must have wisodom to use the power... Bulkmier Dee and Skullovitch Dumm stole my wisdom tooth one day while I was sleeping. Will you help me to get it back?" she asked purring now.
Sighing Tommy nodded and made his way up the path that led away from the old dirt road. Trin was in the lead, her smile shining bright and lovely in the sun. She took him to a small clearing and showed him the two who were there playing around with he wisdom tooth. They were dressed in leather and hat on hats while they both sat on two similar horses and had a mean look to themselves. Tommy recognized them as Bulk and Skull immediately.
"Those two are-"
"Bulkmier and Skullovitch... you are going to have to take that tooth away from them. That is my wisdom. My soul..." she said disappearing and leaving him there.
"Wait! You want me to do this by myself?" he shouted after her.
"Use your Knowledge.... it will guide you to how to get my wisdom tooth back." she said then went quiet leaving him to himself once again. Tommy thought about the situation before hand and didn't just charge in like he usually would. Giving his mind some time to think over what to do he tried a different approach.
"Hey guys... can I have Trin's tooth back?"
"No-"
"-you can't-"
"-take it." they both said switching off and on.
"What?" Tommy sighed and stepped forward. "Come on guys! I really need to get that tooth back so I can get on my way." he said.
"Look at this idiot! He seems to be a worse person than you!" Bulkmier said to his brother pointing at Tommy.
"What? I wish you never were even my brother at all." the other retaliated.
"Uh, guys. You need to apreciate each other. I don't know if I'll ever see my brother again. I'll miss him dearly if I don't." Tommy said from his heart.
Then both of them looked at him and stopped arguing. The two of them smiled and handed him the tooth which sparkled in his hands. Heading back down towards the old dirt road Tommy ran into Trin on his way down. She stalked out of a bush and looked at him with a small look of knowing in her eyes. She smiled and finally this smile was a normal one that the real Trini would do.
"You called upon your knowledge of that which you have already learned. Wonderful, and that is what gave you the power to get the ball back from those two. Now step forward and recive a gift from the Trin." she said slowly and carefully so he would catch every word.
Bowing so that she could reach him, Tommy waited for the touch of her hand upon his forhead. Trin stepped forward and tapped her hand against him sending a wave of energy through him making him feel a little more ready to take on the world. Looking up, he saw her teleport him down a little further on the old dirt road.
"This is my power.... the power of the soul." she said playing absently with the tooth as he zoomed off. "Remember you will need a body to contain all of this power within you now."
Zordon was still floating around in the Astral Plane and had been that way for a short time now. He was feeling weak and lost to the currents of time and space. Once again he saw an image of the time that would come when he would no longer be able to help the Rangers. It frightened him with what he saw from that time. Images of fire and destruction, water and earthquakes all plaged his mind. Holding himself in his robes Zordon once again failed to see Count Draygon appear behind him with Nefaria.
Zordon, still looking out into the distance, harldy recognized the crackle of energy that was hurtling at him. Quickly drawing up his defenses, Zordon jumped up and faced his attackers headon. Nefaria looked at him and waved innocnetly. Draygon just stood there with golden lightning flying from his fist. He had a dark grin on his face and stepped forward with Nefaria, who had her whip in hand, slowly laughing at Zordon.
"You wont get away this time. There is no one to help you here now." said Draygon menacingly.
"Yeah!" added Nefaria.
"I will destroy you then conquer all that stand in my way with your power!"
"Yeah!" she added.
Rubbing his temples and strengthening his magical shield Zordon watched the sheild grow bright blue and pulse with power. Nefaria struck at him with her whip then and was jolted horribly by her own power coming back at her. She shook violently and then dropped to her knees by Draygon's side. He just ignored her and began to zap Zordon with more energy. This worked and seemed to be causing Zordon some trouble.
"Alright! In a few moments he will be ours for the taking!" Nefaria said.
"What? You aren't even doing anything to help. I'm not going to give you anything that I get since you aren't really helping me at all. I could have come here and did this all by myself." he said with a snarl and flung his cape at her.
Completly upset and wanting to prove her worth Nefaria snaped her whip out at Zordon again. Just like clockwork she began to shake from the backlash of her energy bouncing off of Zordon's shield. What was really odd was that her energy backlash also extened to Draygon who was still zaping Zordon on his own. The two of them began to shake horribly and Zordon saw his chance fleeing far from where he was.Tommy was still not done yet with his first test even. He would need to find yet another place to hide on the Astral Plane because of that.
"Well, that is the path I chose." he said trying to console himself verbally.
Then wrapping his robes up about him Zordon flew off into the distance looking for a secure place to set up his traps for intruders. This was the last time he would be caught off guard. He promised this to himself and headed off for a huge chunk of rock that was just floating through space. Once he made it there Zordon went to the center of the rock and stood with his hands lifted in the air. Bolts of lightning jumped from his fingers and landed in various areas of the rock. They seemed to plant themselves in the ground and remain there for a short time. then after a moment had passed out of the ground popped six rocklike creatures. Three with wings, the other two without they all stopped and knealt before Zordon.
"My lord... we are here to serve." said the first. It's voice crumbling like grated rock.
Zordon gave them explicit directions on what they were supposed to do and what they were to do if things went wrong. The three that had wings immediatly flew up into the air and began to circle the floating rock always vigilant. The same could be said for the earthbound ones that stood guard around Zordon, his silent sentinels that would not be displaced. In the middle of the rock Zordon had set up a medium sized pavillion. inside he was laying on a cot that faced the door. A small book was held in his hand and he was half asleep. Not many people could sleep on the Astral Plane. In fact no one could since one had to already be asleep in one form or another to get to the Astral Plane. Zordon was the acception though, there was no real dimension for him anymore. He had been locked away from his for a long time. Turning over in his sleep Zordon became lost in his thoughts.
Tommy was still going along the old dirt road and came upon a curious sight. There had been a huge barn hall that just popped up out of nowhere on the side of the road. It was colored brightly and had flashing lights on the inside of it. As he drew nearer the sun seemed to set unexplainably, seeing as how it was still noon there, and left him in the dark with the flashing lights.
Stepping up to the door, he was stopped by the bouncer who had an odd resemblance to someone he knew but couldn't put his finger on. Stopping by the man, he saw that there was a sign by the door. It said in plain sight, no one is to enter without a dance ticket or a sponser. Tommy looked in the door real quick and then stepped off into the parking lot. There was a dance contest going on in there. Dance contest, that reminded him of Zack. Who just happened to be looking at him in the car right next to him. Tommy jumped out of his skin and nearly screamed.
"Ca-ndy..." was all the boy who looked like Zack could say.
Tommy looked at him like he had lost his mind. Opening the car door he found out that Zack had been leanning on the door and it was propping him up. As he fell over, a small bottle fell out of Zack's shirt which , made a rattling noise as it hit the ground. Tommy pulled Zack out of the car and picked up the bottle looking at him.
"Ca-ndy... I nee my musu reraxsa..." Zack managed out.
"What? Zack are you alright? What are you doing here?" Tommy asked.
"My name.... is Zoch, Zoch DaMan..." he slowly spit out.
Tommy just stood there wondering what was wrong with him. He looked at the bottle in his hand and slowly began to understand. Zoch was not moving and his speach was slow and slurred. It was obvious that he had lost the control over his muscles. The bottle was full of medicine that probably tasted like candy and loosened his muscles.
"Here ya go!" he said popping the bottle open and putting the right dosage into Zoch's mouth, "Eat your candy..."
Zoch ate his candy and slowly began to regain his body back under his control. He perked up a little and began to stand on his own holding his head. He looked over at the direction of the dance contest and shook his head. Tommy just looked at him wondering what was next.
"Oh man, my partner bailed on me and now I don't have anyone to dance with in the contest." he looked at Tommy and his eyes widened.
"OH NO you don't! I don't really like to dance!" Tommy said shakily, thinking of the first time he got drunk...
"Please? Please? You've got to...." he said begging and dropping to his knees.
"Okay... okay... how much time do we have to practice?" he said looking back at the dance contest.
"Five minutes!" Zoch said happily.
"What?" Tommy said falling over almost from the shock.
After five minutes of intense dance steps Tommy felt like a new man. He was going to go in there and win the first place trophy for Zoch... And if he didn't well then, who knows. Guiding Waltinman to the contest by the shoulder they both went up to the guard and Zoch presented the entrance ticket. The bouncer just stepped aside and Tommy stepped in with Zoch and was instantly hit by the old time beat.
"Ahhh, feel that? That is what is going to make me a star... music. The kind that you can dance to."
"Uh huh..." Tommy said nodding.
The announcer was behind the victrolla bopping his head back and forth. Tommy looked all around him. There were groups of people doing really well. They outclassed him by years of experiance. Silently hoping to himself that Zoch wouldn't be mad if they lost, Tommy prepared himself. The lights above were swaying and there was hay everywhere. There was even a team out on the floor doing one of their routines. Zoch just looked at them and said that they were okay... He looked at Tommy and said that he was his secret weapon. Tommy grew cold and just waited for the inevitable to happen.
Then it did finally happen just as he thought it would. They were called out onto the floor by the DJ and the music started. Tommy tried to follow Zoch's lead the best he could. Things really weren't going that bad, as a matter of fact he was doing everything perfectly. Then looking out into the crowd Tommy decided to try to show off his new dance skills. He stepped out of step with Zoch and started to make up his own steps. Zoch noticed but didn't stop dancing to make sure that he did what was supposed to be done. Eventually Tommy began to move all over the floor sporadically. Throwing his hands out every now and then he would brutally nock someone out with a dance step. Then lifting his foot in step to the music he would accidentally kick another person.
"Oh yeah! I got the funk!" he said tossing his arms out and flailing the last contestant standing.
Then the music stopped and the DJ stepped up so that everyone could hear him. He was all nervous and shaking uncontrollably and looking at Tommy like he was a murderor. Zoch had stopped dancing a long time ago and had run for cover when Tommy made his way back up the floor. Tommy just looked up at the DJ and smiled his goofy, very happy smile at him. The DJ sighed and began to speak.
"Winners! Due to default...," he added in a sour tone,"Zoch and Tommy!"
"Alright! Now I can be the king of the sugar shack forever!" Zoch said as he went up and was handed a money note and a crown.
"Now I really need to be on my way..."
"Not so fast bro... I have to like, give you the prize since I don't need it." he said handing Tommy the envelope that the DJ had handed him. Tommy just looked at him and took it expecting there to be some check or something like that there. To his surprise as he opened it a small feather floated out and blew on a breeze in front of him.
"This? What is this?" Tommy said choking on his breath.
"It is the spiritual and physical body that will hold the powers that you have gained along the way. It is vital that you keep this with you and do not loose it."
"Okay... Tommy said looking out and reaching for it, absently rubbing on his power coin. When he made contact with the feather it promptly shocked him and flung his hand back.
"Whoa! Man, you are gonna have to drop off that coin somewhere..." Zoch said suddenly.
"Wait! Cestria said that I shouldn't give the coin away!" Tommy countered. Zoch just looked at him and then began to walk off deeper into the sugar shack. He turned one last time to look at Tommy and said one last thing.
"The feather will follow you until you release the coin to the right person. You will find this person if you continue along the old dirt road. I wish you all the luck of the world Tommy Oliver. All the luck of the world and more." with that he was gone and left a confused Tommy standing there all alone in the sugar shack full of knocked out people.
There was the familiar sensation of being transported to a place and Tommy looked around then to see where he was. Landing back down on the old dirt road Tommy surveyed the scene and caught sight of a giant table in front of him. There were high backed chairs all around the table and at two sat some animal plushies. Then looking towards the head of the table he saw her. She was sitting there with a gargantuan hat on her head and wearing a sort of odd looking suit.
"Tommy so glad you came, come sit down lets have some tea!" she said lightning fast with a noticeable brittish accent.
"Uh Aisha, what's going on here? Do you know where this road leads to?"
"Yeah yeah... I'll tell ya in a second. Now could you please sit down and have some tea? I really need you to call me Crazy Alli too. Could you do that? There I knew you could." she said in another single breath.
Tommy sat down promtly and found that Crazy Alli was all over him in seconds. She poured him some tea, whipped around over the table and poured him some sugar in for him. Then running all the way down the long end and back again she put some fresh lemon slices into the tea.
"Ah how was that?" she said pulling the chair out from him before he could drink.
"Hey! I didn't get to drink!" Tommy said forlornly looking at her.
"Ah well you snooze you loose buh bye see ya soon. Hope you have a good time and tell Kimda I said hi if you ever make it to her. Don't forget to write I'll see you soon! Love you!" she shouted looking off in to the distance while he continued to stand there looking at her. She turned and her eyes rested on him then she raised her hands to the air and let out a gut curdling scream. She then took one look behind her and pulled a giant hammer out of nowhere. Tommy didn't even stop to think, he just ran around the table as she ran after him.
"Ack! Stand still I'm trying to help you. There is a feather connected to you and it is standing right on end. It looks like it is attacking you! Hold still it's right on top of your head. If you sit still long enough I can hit it you know." she said with a crasy twinge to her voice. Then suddenly out of the bushes nearby the little hawk that was all dressed up that had appeared before dashed around the table too. He took out his watch and looked at it then branched off into the morphin grid road. Tommy followed after it and tried his best to get away from Crasy Alli.
Running along the old dirt road for what seemed like hours Tommy finally came up to a place that looked like a giant replica of the Reservation at the edge of town. Yet there at the gates he came upon a huge door that wouldn't open no matter how hard he pushed. The more he tried the weaker he got and this kept up for minutes. Finally after much long trial and error, Tommy saw the doorbell and pushed it. The door swung open effortlessly and a cool breeze swept over Tommy. He nearly went crazy then after all the effort he had put out. Sighing then to himself Tommy walked in and the doors closed behind him.
Ninjor had never expected so much damage to come of the two intruders to the Power Chamber before. It had taken a while, but soon he found what they had done and was totally unprepared for it. All of the Zords had been damaged by one little virus that had been uploaded into them. Every single one that there was, not a virus free zord remained. This of course left the Rangers virtually defenseless if they were attacked by a giant monster.
He had gone back to his little hideaway when he found out that the Zords were down. He didn't really know what to do at all. Leaving Alpha in charge once again Ninjor just went off to lick his wounds and rest a while. He debated whether or not he would even return again. His place was being away from the world and living a life of solitude. Still there were times when he could only help but feel needy of someone to talk to.
Reaching into a little pocket of his own Ninjor pulled out a familiar object. It was the tiki that Auric was inside of. He caressed it once and then placed it on a small table in his room. There would now be no need for him to feel lonely if he ever did go on and leave the mainstream. Sighing and sitting back in his chair Ninjor looked around at his peaceful surroundings and fell fast asleep.
"Not going to need to interfere ever again..."
Tommy had made his way into the Reservation and was in a very large room that had some type of tube in the middle of it. It was a sort of sea blue color and as he stepped closer a loud rumbling seemed to resonate from all around him. He stopped and held his ground swinging his head around and looking to see what was going on. Then after a moment the noise stopped and an image began to flicker on to the tube before him. There in the tube was a giant head of a bald man who was aged and appeared rather wise. He looked down at Tommy and began to laugh.
"...what're you laughin at?"
"YOU PUNY LITTLE RANGER! WHAT DO YOU WANT LITTLE MAN?"
"I came here to find out about getting rid of this coin," he said holding it up, "and bonding my abilities with this feather!" he added holding that up too.
"THERE IS A WAY FOR ME TO HELP YOU! BUT YOU MUST DO ONE THING FOR ME!"
"Oh man, what?" he said putting the items away and groaning.
"I WANT YOU TO KILL THE WICKED WITCH OF THE MOON. AND BRING ME BACK HER WAND WHEN YOU DO IT!" he said with a resonating boom and then faded away. Tommy just sat there and looked at his hands glumly. He didn't know how to really beat the witch at all. How could he do it if the wizard wouldn't give him his powers first?
"Dammit... how are we going to get home now?" Kai said under his breath. He was trying to hold Rocky up over his shoulder, but Rocky was squirming and drooling all over the place. Kai wiped his neck off and looked around as they walked down the street. There were all sorts of aches in Kai's back seeing as how he had been piggy-backing Rocky for most of the way. While in one way this was quite a pleasing experience for him, in the other way it really physically pained him.
"Woohoo, faster horsie! Faster!" Rocky shouted as he waved around an imaginary hat and dug his heels into Kai's sides. Kai then stood up on his feet and let Rocky slide off to the ground in a slump. Rocky was out like a light and Kai just let out a deep sigh as he let the spell that hid his appearance wear off. Rocky being in the state he was didn't see him. So Kai just raised his arms and muttered a little bit... then the two of them disappeared from the road right before a car sped past them.
Jason had seen his nemesis that night at the barbicue. It was a chance sighting, in fact he was supposed to be off in another city being followed by his father. Now the random sighting of him here, at the Barbicue, where there were children still around made Jason see red. It didn't matter that everyone was leaving, it didn't matter that he wasn't talking to anyone. It just mattered that he was here, right now, in Jason's space. Jason spat and ran at the man with full speed. Jason launched himself into the air and flew at the man with a breakneck speed defying what seemed possible.
The man who turned just in time looked at Jason once he felt a breeze rushing at him, side stepped and looked down at the teenager. His eyes grew big and he slowly began to back up as Jason looked up at him. The man knew who he was, Jason thought and then picked himself off the ground with the skill of a cat.
"I'm going to beat the hell out of you for what you did..." Jason said barely over a whisper.
"Oh really?" he replied in a freakish voice, "I thought you liked it... well you'll have to catch me first!" he said running off to his car before Jason could react. Standing there Jason barely thought to get to his jeep before the man was nearly out of sight. Running for his car Jason sped down the road and tried to catch up to the man who had seemed to have vanished. After traveling down one of the many long roads in Angel Grove for what seemed like hours Jason came across a large abandonded house, just barely missing the departure of a familiar friend in the arms of an unknown person. Right there in front of the house was parked the car of his tormentor.
"Thinks he can hide in here does he?" Jason said as he flew up onto the lawn in his car and jumped out after shutting it off. Then dashing around the side of the house, Jason tried to find a way in. The front door had been bolted up and it seemed inpenitrable from there. So walking around the side of the house Jason found exactly what he was looking for. There was a basement entry that looked weak enought to break into. Laughing to himself and thinking that Candyman was trapped Jason busted it open and desceneded.
The air inside was stale with age and it seemed as if there was no light there at all. Walking among the covered furniture and other household objects Jason heard a slight creaking behind him. Turning to look around Jason saw nothing and finally decided that no one was there. Continuing forward Jason came to the door and walked right through and up to the first floor.
The house had some large holes in the ceiling and little azure beams of moolight slipped down around him. There was old dusty furniture and a soft dripping that came from behind him. Jason's hairs prickled up on his neck. Somehow he felt that maybe charging in wasn't such a good idea. Laughing to himself he figured it was too late now and just kept going. Turning a corner and coming to a long hallway Jason prepared himself for the worst and made his way through it. Then at the end of the hall Jason came across and open door.
"Well, curiousity killed the cat... but I'm not the cat!" he said carefully, stepping in. Then just as he stopped and surveyed the surroundings the door shut behind him. From behind him the Candyman was sneaking ever so closer and had a rather deadly looking fireplace pick in his hands. Then just as Jason turned to him, he smacked him smartly over the temple with the blunt edge of it and watched him fall.
"And now the fun begins...." was all Jason heard as he slowly blacked out.
Kat had left the party in a rush and only a few people saw her leave, Adam and Tanya being two of the few because they were keeping an eye on her. Kat hadn't been her normal self for most of the time they had been out of their comas. She was wearing dark colors and her hair was tied up tightly and made her look rather ill. The thing that really made her behavior stick out was her refusal to go into the sun and actually hang around people. Friends had told the pair that she had been less and less comunicative as time passed. People were begining to become worried for her. Tanya just gave Adam a knowing look as they headed out to her car so they could follow Kat before she drove too far off.
"Adam... what do you think we'll come up against when we reach her?" Tanya asked as she scanned the road for Kat's car.
"I'm not to sure, that girl... our... she didn't really specify what was the deal with Kat. At least not as much as I would have had her." Adam replied flipping through some stations anxiously.
"Oh god, I hope we find her soon."
As they were saying this in the car, not to far down the street Kat had pulled over near a huge ravine. There was a small rail in the way to prevent a car from going over, but it wasn't efficient for a person. Anyone who knew Kat knew that she would never resort to suicide. But they didn't know this Kat that was standing next to the ravine looking down wistfully. Kat had changed, all thanks to the demon that was haunting her with every step she took. That demon who had taken the name of Kimberly.
"What are you doing here missy?" asked Kimberly as Kat looked over the ravine.
"I'm thinking...." she said trying to conceal her true motives.
They were not to be hidden though from Kimberly's mind. It had taken a while, but Kimberly had managed to actually get into Kat's mind and read her thoughts easily. This gave her great insight on new ways to torture and horrify Kat everyday in a new way. After having read her mind Kimberly knew that Kat wanted to die. So she decided to have her last bit of fun now and then take her body after she died. It would be harder if Kat actually flung herself over the ledge. So Kimberly decided to take a gamble and use some of her dark energy to give her demon self a material form. Kat didn't even see Kim when she came forward and pulled Kat by the hair over to the parked car.
Kimberly just let her drop and much to her pleasure Kat hit her head on the ground. She looked up at Kimberly in horror and realized she'd taken a physical form again. Normally Kat would have been up and kicking by now... but there was just something about the thing in front of her that made her stay still. Kat let her mind go blank as Kimberly began to savagely attack her. She felt it was almost over anyway as she looked off to the stars.
"Now, you thought you were going to possibly get away from me eh? Well get this missy, we are going to be together for quite a long time. And no one will be able to help you, do you know why? Because you'll be locked up in the back of your mind and I'll take over your body. Then I will be able to go about with my buisness."
Kat just sat there, she was still looking off to the stars and began to see some memories of things that were important to her. She saw her family and her friends all around her. Then she saw her love come into her life and the images began to fade. Tommy was the last thing she really noticed before Kimberly began her horrifying attack on the dazed and pained Kat. Just as Kimberly started to attack, Tanya pulled up in her car with Adam. They got a full spectical of the two before they could jump out and stop Kimberly.
"Oh my god! It's... Kim!" shouted Adam.
"Huh? What's she doing here?" asked Tanya who quieted as she saw Kimberly pick Kat up with one hand and throw her into the car. Tanya shot up and instantly began trying to work on the door. Adam looked over at Kat and shouted audibly this time. They were still to far away to draw attention so they had to resort to running over to the two.
Much to their mutual fears Kimberly was there. Worse yet she was attacking Kat with brute force borne of evil. Adam and Tanya both stopped as they came near enough and just looked on in fear. The closer Adam drew, the more Kimberly began to look like something that was black and twisted with talons. The closer Tanya got to the other two the more she noticed that Adam was starting to glow again as he had been before.
As they came closer Kat was picked up again by Kimberly and was having her head slammed into the ground repeatedly. The sight of it was sickening and within seconds the two other rangers were there and tried to intervine. Adam dropped right into a fighting stance and Tanya couldn't really understand why. She stepped over to him shouting to Kimberly to stop and placed her hand on his shoulder. It was then that she saw what was really there. The sight of it made her pull her hand away and then she saw little Kimberly advancing on them slowly. Trying it again she put her hand on Adam and saw the Deamon coming closer.
"Uh... Adam...?" she said slowly.
"Yup, that's not Kim!"
They both stood there as the Daemon left Kat alone and drew closer and closer. It didn't even occur to them till the last moment that they should morph to face their threat. Tanya looked at Adam as the idea came to her mind and wondered if his newfound power would in some way affect his powers as a Ranger. Praying that they wouldn't do any harm she looked at him and held out her Zeonizer motioning for him too as well. The two of them morphed and started in on their foe with a speed and grace born of gods. It was then that the Daemon got mad and really started to fight.
"You think you can actually harm me? You are all fools!" it said as it opened its mouth and fired a searing blast at the tow of them. Adam and Tanya reacted instantly dodging to the sides and trying to find a way to approach the monster. For all of their efforts Tanya and Adam only succeeded in getting caught in its special attack and taking the full brunt of its power. Suddenly, as they tried to flip in front of it, the Demon just lifted one of its hands and fire fell from the sky. As they were attempting to dodge this it opened its mouth again and fired a huge blast at the both of them, blasting them back against a huge rock wall. The world seemed to go black as he did this and Tanya heard Kat cry out from behind them.
"You've been pushing me around for too long! Now I'm going to beat the shit out of you!" she shouted as she morphed and held her Zeo Weapon out at the monster. Tanya and Adam slowly picked them selves up and looked at Kat amazed. She still had the strength to morph and face the Demon. This encouraged their fighting spirit more and the other two flipped over its head, landing by Kat's side to join her.
The night sky was dark and beautiful to look upon. The air was crisp and there seemed to be nothing that could go wrong. Justin was siting in the orphanage and was watching television. The rest of the world seemed to dissappear around him as the antics of the Tick played out on the screen. Sure he had snuck and stayed up late, but his parents used to always let him do that. His parents....
What ruined the evening was the sudden booming outside near the window. As he got up and looked out Justin saw what would normally scare the world out of any other child. Still... Justin wasn't just any child. He was special and was destined to go far. Many people told him that, so he just went with the flow and didn't let too much bother him. What he saw now thought slowly began to send chills up his back. There was a three headed thing outside that had just landed out of no where. The earth was charred where he stood and the the air around him seemed to swirl with power. From Justin's keen interest in the uncanny hapenings of Angel Grove he would have to say that this being was Master Vile. Then another flash occured and right next to him appeared one odd looking monster that remebled a coffee pot.
"What the heck?" Justin said falling back and wondering what was going on. It was then that he saw what Vile was up to. Sally, the oldest orphan there had been outside. She hadn't spoken in days and now it seemed she still couldn't find her voice as they came upon her. She fought them the best she could but didn't have the strength or the power to defend herself. Justin was scared and couldn't move. Inside his mind he ridiculed himself but was well aware that there was nothing he could do. As they teleported away to where ever it was they had come from, Justin made a vow to somehow find the Power Rangers and get them to save her.
As soon as Vile had reappeared in the castle Rita and Zedd were right there waiting for him. They knew he had gone off with a brand new monster that he had made. Wondering what was going on of course they had waited for him to show up. Vile was none to happy to see the two and was rather glad he had waited to let the monster in with the girl. She was step one to his plan, the sacrifice that would awaken his own master and god Chaotica.
"So Daddy what are you doing?" asked Rita beaming unusually.
"Nothing... nothing! Why do you ask?" Vile said a little too quickly.
"What were you doing on Earth then?" asked Zedd seeing that something was afoot.
"Uh... is that the phone?" asked Master Vile as he inconspicuously cast a spell to make the phone ring.
"Ohhh it must be for me!" cried out Rita.
"No me! I bet on who was going to try to subjugate the world next so it must be for me," cried Zedd.
Master Vile watched pleased as the two scurried off to dive for the phone and make fools of themselves. The next thing he did was to call in his henchman and have him take the girl to his room. Lately it seemed that his ship had been a disaster area and there was no need to go there. What had to be done could be done right here, in his daughter's castle. Just as the monster came around the corner with the girl, all three of them ran right into Rito and Baboo who was being accompained by Squatt.
"Oh great!" said Master Vile looking at the awkward trio of freaks assembled before him.
"Hiyah pops!" said Rito happily as he ran forward and hugged Master Vile.
"Oh gee... it's Rita's dad! We didn't know you were here!" said Baboo and Squatt in unision.
"Maybe because you two are either always in the toilet or raiding the fridge all the time," he snapped back, and walked by with the monster who was holding the unconscious girl.
"Wow.... goooo pops! You're the man! Getting you a girl friend huh?" Rito said happily until Master Vile promptly zapped him with a bolt of lightning. "Gee.... what's his problem?"
Down the hall Goldar and Scorpina were looking at their newborn son who was being cradled by Scorpina. She was the perfect mother, kind, caring and attentive to their child's needs. It made Goldar feel lucky to actually have been able to get together with her. Sighing and stepping closer to the two he let his finger get held by the child and was amazed when he was thrown to the other side of the room.
"Whoooa!"
"Uh...." said Scorpina looking at the child, "you are so strong my little munchkin aren't you?"
They were both greeted by the unwelcomed appearance of Kia. No one had been able to connect to Kia recently. Maybe it was because she was so strange. Or that she was just too plain evil in her own way. It was like trying to handle a pitbull that was drunk. You just didn't know what to expect at all. As they watched her come closer they looked at what she was wearing. It was some black leather bondage outfit and it made Scorpina and Goldar blush instantly.
"Do you know where my brother is?" she asked heatedly.
"No," they both answered in unision.
"Son of a..." she began, "...you would think that he would be here for me! But no... let him fall in love and I never get to see him again. Well that's it. I tried to snap him out of it tonight but now he shall pay! I'll take away the most important thing to him in the world and then I'll get my revenge. No one can stop me and soon I'll lead forth an Army of Darkness that shall wipe the world in its wake! Hahahahahahaha!" she shouted and bounded out of the room.
Goldar and Scorpina just looked at her as she left. Kia was becoming more and more unstable with every passing day. Her evil presence was filling the castle quickly and it was everywhere that one turned. Sighing absently Goldar gave the baby his finger again and soon found himself on the other side of the room. Scorpina let out a small giggle and looked over in his direction with glee. Then she too found herself flying off towards the wall unexpectedly. While she flew off the baby got up and just crawled away from them skillfully.
"Whoa!" she shouted as she landed and hit Goldar.
"Scorpina, the baby!" he screamed.
They both scrambled to their feet and went running after the child who was slowly getting away. Chasing it through the many halls of the castle and pushing Tengas and Putties out of the way they tried to gain on the child. Unfortunately it seemed to have the upper hand and skillfully made its way to the basement and vanished from sight. Scorpina screamed and turned to look at Goldar as they ran. There was a deep look of fear in her eyes and he understood what was wrong. There was a dark being that Rita and Scorpina served that lived in the basement.
It went by the name of Lokar.
Alpha had been gone from the Power Chamber for a while now. He had isolated himself in the abandoned Warehouse district and had set up a comfortable home there. Still he was tired of living by himself and missed the quircky antics that always arose in the Power Ranger's world. The isolation gave him a few revelations about his place in their world too. Alpha 6 and 7 hadn't been placed there just to replace him with their more efficient ways. They were just released as an added measure. Zordon would have been straight forward with his plans to get rid of Alpha if he had wanted him gone.
"They really do need me!" Alpha said softly and decided it was time for him to return.
Packing his bags and heading out in the cover of night Alpha planned on being back at the Power Chamber by daybreak. He was totally unaware of the things that had been transpiring while he was gone and therefore didn't know what he was walking into.
It didn't take him too long before he was right outside of the Power Chamber. He had even made it back a little earier than he had expected. Taking out a small electronic key Alpha looked around one last time and opened the door. What he saw there was the last thing he'd ever expect to see in his lifetime. The place was a mess and Alpha 6 and 7 were sitting there running back and forth trying to fix everything up.
"What the..? Ai yi yiyi yi!" shouted Alpha waddling in with his hands waving in the air. The other two just stopped and looked at him as if he were a ghost. Then backing away from the bot the two others held tight to each other and screamed at the same time. It seemed that there was much more going on here than Alpha had expected.
After what had been a conversation that seemed like it had been a day's length the three bots had come to an understanding. The Alpha that everyone else had seen was ProtoAlpha! It just so happened that Zordon had modeled Alpha 5 very similar to ProtoAlpha and the two were nearly indistinguishable to the untrained eye. ProtoAlpha had been killed by Ninjor recently and Ninjor had vanished after that taking Auric's tiki with him.
Zordon was missing and was most likely in trouble seeing as how there was absolutely no attemept on his part to try to get back to the Material Plane. Tommy was also missing as well and it seemed that no one had heard from him for the last few days. Adam and Tanya had just awoken from their double comas and were finally starting to get back into the groove of things. Rocky was around and Kat was too, but it seemed like they had their own agendas to think of. Alpha 5 just sighed and let his leadership skills start to take over once again.
"Okay Alpha 6 and 7, I want you to first clean this place up totally. It may be a time of chaos but there is no need for you to let the place go to waste. Then I want you to try and find out about this virus that is running through the Zords. Do not, and I stress, DO NOT hook yourselves up to the Zords, seeing as how you will introduce yourselves to the virus! After this has been done we will try to establish a link with Zordon who is vital to gaining order. Go on now! Get busy... I'm going to try to contact the Rangers."
And with that the bots finally got the lead out and started to manage through the chaos that was known as the Power Chamber. Alpha 5 went over to the communications machine and tried to contact the Rangers. Apparently after many tries it seemed that they would or could not answer. The Rangers must have had some other more pressing buisness to attend to.
Rocky and Kai materialized right in front of his home. No one had seen them appear out of thin air mainly because it was still night and everyone was either sleeping or just not paying attention. The air outside his home was crisp and most of the lights were out. Mrs. DeSantos was gone and Kai remembered Rocky saying that she would be gone the weekend with the majority of his siblings. She was a sort of camp director in her spare time and she worked with children a lot. Especially the children at the orphanage, where Rocky had recently made friends with a young boy named Justin.
Picking up Rocky again and phasing through the front door, Rocky and Kai fell into a pile on each other because of a bag that had been left by the door. Reading the words quickly in the dark, Kai recognized the name on it as Santiella and hurridly threw up his magical disguise again. Just in time too, it seemed, because she appeared at the top of the stairs coughing and turning on the lights.
"Uh... hi!" Kai managed with a goofy smile. A tendril of his hair falling over his eye as he looked up.
"Rocky is drunk again eh? Oh well, just clean him up if you can. He looks worse than the time I found him when daddy...." she trailed off leaving Kai in wonder.
"Well, anyway the bathroom is to the right at the top of these stairs and you know where Rocky's bedroom is. I'm going back to bed. Voy a mi cama!" she said and turned coughing and stepping back into her room. Kai figured that she had been ill and that was part of the reason she had stayed home.
Dragging Rocky up the stairs, seeing as how he didn't want to use his magic while Santiella was around, Kai finally got him into the bathroom. Rocky was unsurprisingly covered in dirt. When Kai had dropped him on the side of the road Rocky must have rolled in some mud. Sighing and closing the door Kai brought the magic back up to his fingertips and stripped Rocky effortlessly. Blushing at Rocky's nudity and trying to keep control of himself Kai put him in the shower and let the water run over him for a time. This made Rocky wake up a little and he assisted in washing himself.
After that being done Rocky just walked out of the bathroom in a heavy stupor and Kai followed him to his room to make sure that Rocky made it to bed safely. Rocky just sat on the side of the bed and looked at Kai with bloodshot eyes. He patted the bed right next to him giving Kai the incentive to sit down. Kai's heart raced, Rocky's towel was starting to come off and he wasn't wearing anything underneath. Trying to fight the urge and just run away, Kai found he couldn't and just sat next to Rocky.
"My... father... you know... he was a good man and all... but he died." Rocky slurred out almost incoherently. Kai sharply took in a breath of air and listened intently. "He left us... with nothing but... a little insurance... and some good friends. He left Mami... and Papi never even thought.... of what may have happened to us... nosotros... tu familia Papi!" he said horsely and looking up at the sky. Kai was in shock, this was yet another human emotion catergory that he was so new to. He felt... sadness and grief. Then remorse, which was what made him do what he did then.
Rocky held his hands to his face and began to softly cry. Kai, greatly moved by the sight of it all just leaned towards him and hugged him tightly. Rocky let his body go slack and withdrew into Kai's warmness. Listening to his heartbeat and slowly calming down Rocky slowed his gentle sobbing. Kai listened to Rocky's breathing and hearing the soft gasps realized that the boy must have been in pain for a long time. This moved him to do something he would never have done. Kai leaned over and kissed Rocky right on the lips. Rocky jerked up and just looked at him through teary eyes and stared. Kai blushed and the clock ticked... a whole minute passed by before Kai spoke.
"Rocky... ever since the first day I saw you I knew I was in love with you. Your fierce spirit and all of your detemination. The way you manage to keep yourself happy when times are totally horrible. The color of your eyes, the way you look and act. All of these things bring me great happiness when I find that I am down and think of you. It seriously pains me to see you like this and I can't help but want to be here for you. In more ways than one...." Kai added tentativly reaching for Rocky's hand.
Another long moment passed and Kai took in a sharp breath, this was it. This was where he would tell him to get out and that he would never want to see him again. Kai willed himself to be ready for Rocky's words and nearly started to cry himself. His lips trembling and his soul yearning, Kai took Rocky's hand and waited.
"If you love me so much, then prove it to me by giving yourself to me." Rocky said shocking Kai with his words. Kai's eyes brightened and he took Rocky up closer to him kissing him fully on the lips. Rocky parted his own and they held each other in tender embrace for a long time. Unknown to both of them, hidden eyes watched them. Eyes of two sisters... who would have profound effects on both of their lives.
The night slowly passed on and daylight broke over Angel Grove with a startling abruptness. All the surrounding area was peacefull and nothing seemed out of place. The citizens of Angel Grove got up and went about their daily routine as normal. Breakfast, getting dressed and such things that common famalies and people did. They hardly knew of the heated battle that had started late last night and was now still in motion. They hardly knew that three Rangers were slowly fighting back a Demon that had escaped from one of their own's mind.
The being that had been harassing Kat of late was not actually Kimberly. It was a very powerful Demon that had slipped out of Tommy's mind. Intent on taking over someone's body, it gave up on Tommy and went straight for Kat, who had a small connection to him. Taking up the form of Kimberly, it had caused her no end of greif for a long time. Just recently her secret torment had been discovered and now her friends were in the process of setting her free.
"Uh... how are we gonna kill this thing? It's been hours that we've been fighting it!" Kat said growing tired.
"I dunno... but we have to keep going!" Tanya yelled as she threw herself sacrificingly at the Demon.
Adam shouted out as she did this. His fear of her getting hurt overwhelming him to the point of temporarily losing it. Everyone stopped then and just looked at him as he stood and de-morphed in front of all of them. Once again Tanya could see his aura surround him and his eyes begin to glow with energy trails leading out of them. Shivering at the sight it seemed that time froze and everything in nature had its eyes on Adam. His hands slowly rose out in front of him, his fingers forming a triangle using his thumb and pointer didgets.
"...I'm really tired of you!" he said as he blasted the monster with all that he had and shocked everyone around him. It started to pour forth slowly from his hands, a beam of incandescent light that had substance. Then it gradually began to widen and gain speed as it traveled forth. Within seconds the energy had struck the monster in the midsection and was blasting it away. The Demon twirled around in the air a few times as the energy lifted it up and screamed out in pain.
"Oh... my god...." was all Kat could manage.
Then without warning Adam slumped over to his knees and the energy stopped flowing from his hands abruptly. Tanya and Kat ran over to him quickly trying to see if he was okay. Tanya, seeing that Adam had paled considerably and was having trouble breathing made him lay back while Kat took up guard to see if the monster was still around. They all, including Adam who was on the ground, looked up in time to see it land from being shot up into the sky so high and blow up not more than a few feet away from them. The blast threw the two Rangers off their feet and they both landed by Adam.
"Jeez, did I do that?" Adam said letting his head drop back down to the ground as he sighed from exhaustion.
Kat just got up on her knees and unmorphed. She slowly put her hand to her mouth and started to cry. Bruises were all over her body and she looked like hell. Her soft and thin golden hair fell over her face and cut her view of what was around her. It seemed like the world was spinning and that she couldn't breathe. Looking up quickly she reached out and fell over as she gasped for breath. Another hand clutched at her chest and she started to make a gurgling gasping type noise. Falling forward Kat lost all sensation around her and started to blacken out. _Oh no, not now, not after I won...._ she thought as the lights went out.
Jason was still knocked out when his tormentor came back into the room. He had changed his clothes and was wearing nothing but leather. It was an odd suit that had all types of straps and parts that exposed parts of his body that didn't need to be shown. Jason was dressed in leather too, his suit being a pair of regular leather pants and a leather jacket that was open. His head was hanging and he was totally out of it when Candyman entered.
"Humph... thought you could get me? You should have known better than that. All those times I said I'd kill your parents and that still didn't stop you from trying to harm me now? Seems like you need some more reprograming. And I'm just the one to do it!" he said slapping a short whip with a tassle on it againts the door he had just come in by. This woke Jason up, who promptly acessing the situation he was in just screamed and struggled against the ropes that held him.
"Yup, it's all going to start all over again. You will bow to me and do as I please. There's nothing you can do. I stripped you and took that watch thingy too. It was beeping earlier this morning and it woke me up. Sorry... it had to be destroyed. Couldn't take a chance in being found now could I?" he said with a sneer. Then, moving over to Jason with a horrible saunter, he held up the whip he had and prepared to teach him a good lesson.
"Noooooo!" Jason screamed as Candyman grew closer and began to laugh manaically.
It then dawned upon him that he still had his friends who had helped to get to where he was now. Rising off of his feet Tommy went back the way he came and tried to locate anyone who could help him out. It wasn't until a very long time that he finally came across Trin. She looked down at him curiously and smiled.
"Um... I need your help. Can you help me?"
"Depends..." she said in a devilish manner. "You really aught to be helping yourself. I am not supposed to do everything for you. You are here to learn about yourself."
"Well, can I ask you a few questions then?" he pressed
"Yes, questions are fine."
"How am I to ever be able to get to the witch of the moon and kill her?"
"Hrmph, first you need to get rid of that evil coin. How did you get it in the first place?"
"Cestria gave it to me, she said it would protect me from the witch."
"Protect? Do you find being enslaved under the survice of a maniaical tormentor being protected? You need to give that coin to it's rightful owner."
"Where can I find that person?" asked Tommy looking all around him.
"You can find the owner in the Carnival down the street. He is waiting for you and will gladly take the coin off of your hands." Trin said pointing down a path where the old dirt road branched off.
Tommy asked her if she would come along with him but of course she denied going along. This was his trail not hers. She could only stand by and give him clues as to what would be the best choice of things for him to do. She was there to help him succeed but not give it to him on a silver spoon. Sighing as he usually did Tommy just thanked the enigmatic girl and went off down the road. Before long the looming tents of the carnival came into view and Tommy felt like he was near the end of his journey. Stepping up the pace of his movement Tommy had made it to the carnival in good time.
There at the gates he saw that there was only one attraction in the whole carnival. It was a large tent with the words House of Insanity written on it. Tommy looked around and saw that there was a woman near the entrance. She looked up at him lasily and slightly rolled her eyes.
"Well?" the woman said. She had braided hair that seemed to glow with atomic energy. Her glasses and cherubic face looked out of place on her as he realized she was nearly scowling at him.
"I think that I need to meet someone here. Do you know of anyone here who would want to take this?" he said pulling out the Dragonzord Coin and showing it to her. The woman flew back from the coin and spat to the ground in disgust. Tommy quickly put the coin back in his pocket and began to walk away from her.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?"
"Into the tent."
"This is my tent, my work. You could at least let me introduce myself."
Tommy waited and gave her a look to tell that she was paying attention.
"My name is Ms. Verdandera. I came up with this whole tent. It's like a home to me. I put all of my heart into it. So, uh, that's about it. Oh by the way, you look like a friend of a friend of mine. His name was Jason. But eh, I don't think you are him. He's much too goofy."
Tommy just looked at her. "Are you done yet?"
"Oh, why is everyone so mean to me? Just go go, I don't wanna see ya. Git... go on now." she said pushing her hand in an outward movement telling him that he could just go on in.
"Jeez, do people have attitudes or is it just me?" Tommy asked himself as he worked his way into the tent.
On the moon Kia watched a little baby scramble by her and laughed to herself at how ugly it was. It was going deepdown into the recesses of the fortress where her mother's lord Lokar lay resting. If that baby came near the sleeping head it might just zap it into something much cuter. Still what was that baby doing out and running free through the fortress. Kia stood up and walked out into the hallway right when Scorpina and Goldar were trying to run by. The resulting collision led to a huge heap of tangled limbs and angry shouts.
"What the hell?" Kia cried as the young girl teleported away.
"Oh get off of me you dolt!" shouted Scorpina as she got up and instantly resumed the chase.
"Hey, uh... Kia right? Want to do us a favor? Help us get our kid back and we will do you a favor later on. We promise." Goldar said as he got to his feet and looked of in the direction his wife had gone. Kia put her hand to her cheek and thought it over for a second, then shouting almost as loud as her mother she agreed.
The three chased after the child until they were all nearly blue in the face. Most children were able to outrun their parents for a short time but this one was phenomenal. It looked back over it's shoulder and just kept on putting out more energy so that it could get further away from them all. Kia began to get mad and started to unleash some zaps from a tazer that she had strapped on her belt.
"What are you doing girl?" Scorpina said as she rushed the girl and tried to misdirect her fire. The apparent agression towards her made Kia decide to aim for the new danger but instead she managed to blast a nearby wall which vaporized immediately. All three of them watched in horror as the room that had been blasted into was revealed as Lokar's chamber. It was then that they also noticed the baby crawling right into to it.
"I'm still going on in. I wont give up!" said Goldar as he ran after the child.
"And you still have to give me a favor!" shouted Kia as she followed the other in.
Upon entering the room the two were greeted by the molding and repugnant face of Lokar which had some nearby candles burning all around it. Approaching it at a much slower speed now was the newborn that Scoprina and Goldar were so worried about. As it drew nearer and nearer to the stationary monster the demon's eyes began to glow redder and redder. The red was a telltale sign that it was going to fire at the baby so all three of the them, seeing as how Scorpina had just entered, tried to rush the severed head. The red glow though gave Kia an idea. Red glow led to red in her mind and red led to what she saw when she was spying on Rocky and Kai not to long ago. Red was also the means that she had gotten there without him noticing for she had done a Red Shift. The nonmagical means to how her family teleported. That nonmagical means was the only reason Kai had not picked up on her spying on him. So in the last possible instant Kia pulled out a small device that looked like a remote control and pulled off an extremely difficult Red Shift before Lokar fired on the child perfectly, or at least she thought. For right when she had finished the act she found that the child was where she was and Lokar was aiming right at her. Scrambling and trying to get to another device she thought then to herself, I will not di-
"Oh my god, cover the baby's eyes!" shouted Goldar as the beam of light flew forth and sliced Kia up into many different pieces. Scorpina just looked away and didn't have the gumption to draw nearer to investigate the smoldering flesh. Lokar, now satiated at the death of at least one person intruding on it, slowly closed it's eyes and became dormant.
"This sucks." the baby said surprising the other two there.
Kat woke up to find that she was in her own room and there were few lights on. In fact she lay in her own bed and was comfortably tucked in it with her longtime friend Dingo. Dingo was her stuffed animal which resembled it's name and had always been with her since she was a young child. Sighing and thinking that the events of the previous night had been a dream Kat tried to go back to sleep before her alarm clock went off and found that she couldn't. There was someone elese in the room there with her and her sense of danger was just tingling in her head.
"Alright who's there?" she said reaching for the light and switching it on.
"It's just us Kat," Adam said stepping out of the shadows and Tanya too who was behind him.
"Hey, if you guys are here, then it wasn't a dream?" she said sitting up now.
"It's true all that had been happening to you was in fact real." Tanya said sitting down on the bed next to her. Then leaning forward and hugging her gently she smiled. "But now everything is okay. There's no need for you to worry."
Kat found solace in this and layed back in her bed. She waved as Tanya and Adam teleported out of her room leaving her by herself. She had beaten that horrible demon and had won. Her whole life was a ahead of her and now she would be free to do what she desired again without fear. Closing her eyes and truning over Kat tried to get back to sleep. Still there was the nagging fear that it wasn't finished. She thought about that, wondering if it was really over until she drifted into a deep sleep.
"Trey, what are you doing here?" Jason said blushing as the young ruler of Triforia undid his ropes. The Gold Ranger had suddenly teleported in and taken out the one thing in Jason's life that had been bothering him for so long. Jason looked around and found that he was free of his restraints and stood up quickly going over to check and see what damage had been done to the man.
"You didn't kill him? Why? Do you understand what damage this man has caused?" Jason asked getting enraged and closing up his fists.
"No I didn't, that's not the way Jason. You and I know that well. It was the reason we became Power Rangers. Not to destroy but to protect and to serve. That is our main goal."
"You just don't know all the pain this man did to me." Jason said dropping to his knees.
"Yes I do, I knew everything from the start. I was trying to get you to say something so that the healing might begin but you never did. It was my bad judgement that you could handle the situation without my direct interference. I am sorry for this and hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me."
"You there's nothing for you to be sorry for. This bastard needs a beating though for what he has done."
"No Jason, that is not the way you are supposed to be. He will get his punishment in due time. What we need to do now is get you away from him. For you see I have alerted the police and your father as to his whereabouts. They will be here in seconds. It will spare you the shock of having this all exposed to the media. You should go now."
"I think it's time for me to do what you always told me to do. Stand up to my fears. Trey thanks for your help, but I'm staying right here. I'm going to tell it all to my father. Everything so as not forget it, like I've tried before. There's just so much anger inside of me I feel like I am going to burst."
"I know, I know." was all Trey said, as he stayed by Jason. Trey waited till the very last minute then teleported out as the police and the FBI came up the stairs. As he left Jason stood up and went over to the door telling them where he was at. He thought to himself how there would be no more need for forced smiles or lies, no more secrets.
Rocky woke up in Kai's arms and jumped from the shock of it all. Kai slowly awoke from the commotion and looked into Rocky's eyes lovingly. He smiled and reached for the boy who shied away from his touch. Kai sat up in the bed and just looked at Rocky who was acting strangely suddenly.
"Rocky.. what?"
"Don't talk to me. You took advantage of me."
"But..."
"I don't think it's healthy for us to be together, it's just not natural."
"Rocky..." Kai said getting nervous.
"God made a man and a woman, not man for man. I think you need to go now. I don't want to see you again." he said sitting on the edge of the bed. His back turned from Kai.
"Wait," Kai said reching out and touching Rocky's back. That was the thing that then set Rocky off into a flurry of slurs. All of which Kai understood instantly seeing as how he had been exposed to much worse on the moon when he was being created.
"Get out of here you freak of nature. Get out now before I beat the hell out of you." Rocky said shouting at Kai.
Kai stood up respectably, put on his clothes and walked right out the door. He didn't look back, he didn't think. He didn't feel for now there was no reason to. As soon as he got downstairs he let the facade he had put up slip and reverted to his natural form. Pulling on some leather gloves in his pocket, her looked in the mirror and snapped his fingers once. He vanished without a word. Santiella saw the whole thing from the kitchen and dropped the milk on the floor she had been holding. She had seen what Rocky had done the other night, that was no surprise to her. What threw her for a loop was that the boy Rocky had been with was really a monster. The milk spilled and Santiella just stood there, looking at the spot where Kai had been.
Tommy ran into himself literally when he was walking through the house of insanity. It was full of body length mirrors that distorted the image of the viewer to something else. The most recent one he had looked into though was actually empty. The grinning visage on the other side of it was in fact his double. The two of them were now slowly circling each other getting a feel for each other's next movement.
"Wait!" Tommy said throwing up a hand. The double stopped.
"What?"
"I know who and what you are."
"Oh really, why don't you enlighten both of us?"
"You are the evil aspect of myself. The part that Rita tried so hard to take over."
"..."
"I think this belongs to you." Tommy said taking the coin and passing it to the other. Green energy flowed from him to the double and Tommy felt as if a heavy burden had been lifted off of him. Smiling the double was suddenly dressed as the Green Ranger and he held his helmet in hand. Tommy found that he looked rather nice, even though he was the evil aspect of himself.
"I'm tired, did you know that? Unknown forces keep pulling me back to light and that upsets me. I just want rest. Is that to much to ask?" it said as it started off and began to walk away.
"Wait, how do I unite the powers that I have now?" Tommy shouted after him.
"Easy, touch the feather then place it next to your heart."
Tommy looked on as the silent Ranger departed and then grabbed the feather that had been circling his head for a time. He looked at it and closed his eyes and placed it next to his heart. As soft light seeped from the feather right into Tommy's chest and the boy's eyes opened as if he was seeing the world for the first time. He put the feather in his hair and looked around for an exit. It was done.
After a quick walk back to where he had started from Tommy found himself right back near the Reservation. Going right up to the chamber that had the disembodied voice in it Tommy stood there waiting.
"WELL, DID YOU KILL THE WITCH AS WAS ASKED?" the voice said.
"No, I'm not here for your use. I am not tool. This is it, I'm done with you, I'm going to wake up and go on with my life. Now you had better step aside and let me through. Or I will get the REAL Zordon and he will make you sorry you ever impersonated him."
The was no reply as the tube opened up. Inside there was the youth who had been controlling the whole process of Tommy's awakening. He stepped out and was still garbed in the same traditional Native American garb as before. Tommy didn't need to look, for he just knew instinctively that he was dressed the same.
"You have passed both tests. Will you now accept the power that has been given to you?"
"Yes I shall."
"Then I hereby request that on your way to the real world you stop and find Zordon on the Astral Plane. He has been trapped there for a time now and he needs to find a way out."
Tommy agreed and just went along his way, slowly waking to what he percieved as the real world.
Two weeks had passed since most of the things going on had been happening. Jason had told his father the whole story and was being treated as a hero by the local paper. Emily had gone back to him and was just as strongly supportive of him as before. Kat was feeling better with each passing day, possibly provided by the fact that Tommy was now back in the world of the living. Tommy had in fact changed his personality and was trying to experience a new kind of high that he said he got from racing cars. Tanya and Adam had even strengthened their relationship and were doing just fine.
On the moon, the loss of Kia and the apparent loss of Kai had humbled the whole fortress. Zedd and Rita were so busy blaming each other that they didn't have time to harass the people of earth. Scropina and Goldar had moved off to conquer their own section of the galaxy as promised. Even Master Vile had gotten what he deserved and was booted out of the fortress.
"But Papa... what ever happened to the girl that got kidnapped? Yeah, and what about Zordon and Kai and Kia? Did they ever get saved?" a small beautiful child said to her father.
Adam sat up from his wide backed chair and looked at Tanya who was sitting there watching him intently. Adam gently rubbed the top of his daughter's head and smiled sadly. Then looking at his watch and then towards Tanya who was shaking her head softly he smiled again.
"Well darling, right now it is very late. The answers to those questions are all very very good. But you see right now, we'll have to save them. For that's..." he sighed, "Just another story."
